That’s who you were, it’s not who you are;
not in His Eyes

Handcrafted; Heirloom, Keepsake and Remembrance Rosaries

”King and Queen of Heaven”

The earthy tones of this five-decade Rosary bracelet was prayerfully inspired to remind the prayer, that although “for out of it (the ground/the earth) you were taken; you are dust, and to dust you shall return (Genesis 3:19)”; that we are the adopted sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father and thereby heirs to His Kingdom.

God The Father Exalted and Glorified, His only Begotten Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; when He crowned Him, “The King of Heaven, forever.”  On the last Sunday of each liturgical year, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, or Christ the King.

Pope Pius XI instituted this feast in 1925 with his encyclical Quas primas (“In the first”) to respond to growing secularism and atheism.  He recognized that attempting to “thrust Jesus Christ and his holy law” out of public life would result in continuing discord among people and nations. This solemnity reminds us that while governments come and go, Christ reigns as King forever. (USCCB.org)

From the earliest ages of the catholic church a Christian people, whether in time of triumph or more especially in time of crisis, has addressed prayers of petition and hymns of praise and veneration to the Queen of Heaven. And never has that hope wavered which they placed in the Mother of the Divine King, Jesus Christ; nor has that faith ever failed by which we are taught that Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, reigns with a mother’s solicitude over the entire world, just as she is crowned in heavenly blessedness with the glory of a Queen. (Ad Caeli Reginam/The Queen of Heaven, Encyclical of Pope Pius XII)

This Rosary bracelet was purposely constructed using the Tiger’s Eye and Jasper gemstones, with the hopes of “sparking” something deeper within the prayer.

Tiger’s Eye, used for the Ave Maria (Hail Mary beads is a gemstone that is usually considered to be a metamorphic rock.  Metamorphic rocks arise from the transformation of existing rock to new types of rock, in a process called metamorphism. The transformation occurs when the original rock is subjected to temperatures greater than 300 to 400 °F and, often, extreme pressures which cause profound changes; the “Old creation” being transformed into a” New Creation.”

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.”

(2 Corinthians 5:17, RSV-CE)

Jasper, used for Pater Noster (Our Father beads is one of the (12) twelve (gem)stones listed on “The Breastplate of Judgment (Exodus 28:17-21, RSV-CE) ” and is also listed as one of the (12) twelve (gemstone) “foundations/layers” used to support the walls of the “New Jerusalem”; the Holy City of God.  The number (12) twelve signifying the Tribes of Israel.

“The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every jewel; the first was jasper….”

(Revelation 21:19-20, RSV-CE)

The Italian-made, two-sided, gold, Miraculous Medal centerpiece features an image of Mother Mary on the front and the words “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”  On the back are stamped images of the Sacred and Miraculous Hearts, surrounded by (12) twelve stars.
